I am so excited to share this post with you. When I first started running The Mad Food Science Program™ in September 2013, my objective was to help teach children about the importance of eating a variety of healthy foods, and how to identify them on their own.
It’s been over a year since my first Mad Food Science class and 8 year old Marla, who was in my very first class, still remembers the message that I taught her about eating a rainbow of coloured fruits and vegetables. Her mother was recently getting Marla to use her imagination by drawing and asked her ‘to draw about what you learnt from Belinda?’ Her mum was impressed by what Marla came up with and so sent me an email with this picture of Marla’s attached.
I love Marla’s slogan of ‘Be Bright, Eat Right’. It’s so fitting.
I am so ecstatic that my message is still remembered and it’s helping families transition their children to healthier eating and healthier lunch boxes. Receiving feedback like this makes me even more excited about taking my mission of ‘Transforming Children’s Health, One Lunch Box At A Time‘ around Australia next year. I’d love for you to share the mission with your family and friends so together we can tackle this health crisis facing our children.
