The Best Bliss Ball Recipe – it’s a big call I know, but these really are. This week Goulburn Mulwaree Council hosted The Mad Food Science Program for 4 Goulburn schools and we finally got to meet Amy from Peaceful Pantry. Amy has been reaching to us for over a year in the hope we would make it back to Goulburn. Amy gave us some of her delicious no grain-ola and bliss balls as a thank you. Seriously, these really are the best bliss balls we have ever tasted. We loved them so much, I asked Amy if I could share the recipe with you.
These are not lunchbox friendly because of the nuts, but they would make a great afternoon snack as a side to some vegetable crudites and dip.
Ingredients
- 150g raw almonds
- 100g raw cashews
- 50g pepita seeds
- 50g sunflower seeds
- 100g medjool dates
- 30-50g coconut oil
- 30g raw honey
- Dessicated coconut for rolling
Lemon Flavoured
Add 2-3 drops of lemon essential oil and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
Chocolate Flavoured
Add 30g cacao
Method
- Grind the nuts and seeds into a fine meal
- Add medjool dates, 30g coconut oil, and honey and your chosen flavouring. Blend as required until your mixture is well combined and starting to stick together when pressed. If it’s not coming together, add in small amounts of coconut oil until the mixture sticks together when pressed.
- Roll into equal sized balls – this will make about 16-20 golf sized balls. Roll smaller if you prefer and to get more balls.
- Coat in dessicated coconut if you wish
