ALANA MAXWELL
Certified Instructor
Alana Maxwell is a nutritionist, health educator and real food advocate who works with schools, children and teenagers to improve behaviour, learning and healthier food choices.
Alana is a change maker who truly understands the power of food from her own children’s experiences with severe allergies and food intolerances, chronic gut pains, eczema, and behavioural challenges. She has also worked successfully with many children with fussy eating and behaviour patterns, many with diagnoses on the spectrum. Alana knows that real food creates the foundation for long-term health of mind and body, but unique genetic makeup means that not ALL foods are right for EVERY body. It has become Alana’s life work to impact our current food culture by educating families about the real connection between food, mood and behaviour. She delivers empowering workshops using easy language, relatable life stories, science, and fun experiments.
Alana is a Certified Nutrition Educator with The Root Cause, Director at Alana Maxwell Nutrition + Wellbeing providing consultations for children and teenagers, and engaging Nutrition Speaker.
Alana has a Graduate Certificate in Nutrition, Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Certificate in Supervisor Food Safety and Certificate in Organic Horticulture. She is a member of the Complimentary Medicine Association and Nutrition Society of Australia. She lives an organic life with her family on acreage in sunny Samford Valley of Brisbane, Queensland where she grows a large organic fruit and vegetable garden using permaculture principles and free-range chickens.
