Certified Instructor – The Mad Food Science Program
Kate has long been an advocate for real food and giving yourself permission for food to make you happy. She is driven to bringing back the joy of sharing good food with family and friends, without the diet chatter and food confusion.
Raised on a broad acre farm, Kate previously worked as a large animal veterinarian and a small child teacher. That’s why you’ll see both animals and children showing up regularly in her stories!
In 2015 Kate founded Real Food Real You to help women reconnect with their instincts to make grounded and simple food choices. Through her online program, The Rubicon Project, Kate has shown women around the world how to give up dieting and to create a more relaxed relationship with food.
When she discovered the Mad Food Science Program, it felt like the perfect addition. Teaching kids how to make better food choices and helping parents to develop a grounded food culture.
Food is just food. It’s fuel you put in your body so you can go about doing all the things you love with the people you love. For Kate that’s playing hockey, being in the veggie patch, hanging out with her chooks and dogs, and even her husband and three kids.
My favourite though is Vietnamese Chicken Salad. If it’s got fresh herbs, I’m in.
I'm available for The Mad Food Science Program during WA school terms, and I'm available for Community Events during school holidays and weekends.
