Paquita Duggan
Certified Instructor – The Mad Food Science Program
Paquita Duggan is a wife, a mum, a passionate advocate for children’s health, and a home cook who loves to nourish human beings with real food.
Before working with The Root Cause, Paquita spent decades gaining a wealth of experience consulting with clients in the travel, recruitment, and training industries. In 2018, when health issues arose, she stepped away from corporate work, and found a new lease on life by returning to simpler, more traditional ways of cooking, inspired from her youth of growing up on a farm.
From learning how to read packet labels, to gaining a deeper understanding of nutrition through holistic health avenues, a passion was ignited to raise more awareness of how small, simple food swaps can bring about BIG impactful change.
As a parent, she knows firsthand the struggles of navigating food choices for children, and the impact it can have on their health and wellbeing. After experiencing the transformative effects of making changes in her household and how that has impacted her own family's wellbeing, she wants to share that knowledge with others who may be experiencing similar challenges.
She works to inspire & empower children and their families to make small and impactful changes to their food choices and overall lifestyle. She is passionate about bringing awareness to those who feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Her approach is to meet people where they are at, empowering them with knowledge and resources that will support them to take those first steps towards choosing more real foods in their household. Her belief is that together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our children and communities.
Paquita is available to deliver The Mad Food Science Program in primary schools and community settings as well as providing support to both parents and educators via seminars and workshops.
