There are so many reasons I am grateful. My family first and foremost. Our beloved Kaley (our big green bus), our amazing National Partners for our mission to Transform Children’s Health, In Australia – Worldwide Printing Solutions, Scott Sign and R & R Bus and Leisure Hire. Then our incredible supporters Clovelly Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank, Waterhouse Lawyers, and Audio-technica Australia.
And of course, there is all of you. We are so extremely grateful for your support of us and our mission.
With the year coming to an end, and with The Root Cause taking some much needed down time from 24th Dec to 6th January, 2015, I have this Gratitude Gift For You. I thought I would gift you with details of resources I trust and use regularly in either our personal lives or for business. I thought you might find them useful too. It’s also my way of showing my gratitude to these businesses for also supporting The Root Cause.

- Wellnourished – Georgia is a naturopath but what really attracted me to her and Wellnourished was her common sense and simple approach to eating real food. Her recipes are absolutely delicious and kid friendly. I was first drawn to Georgia’s work when I committed to move my family away from having breakfast cereal every day. I bought her breakfast ebook – Rise and Shine. It’s a simply stunning book loaded with awesome recipes. Georgia will be interviewing me early next year to talk about our Australian Tour and more. Follow Wellnourished on Facebook, Instagram and join her email list.
- Mum’s Pantry – this website is an incredible resource for recipes. Some aren’t healthy but many are, and the ones which aren’t, you can always find a way to make them healthier. I met the lovely ladies behind this business at a conference this year, and was blown away by what they have achieved, so you can imagine my excitement when they interviewed me for their blog and also asked me to provide recipes for their website. Mind blow, and grateful. Follow Mum’s Pantry on Facebook, Instagram and join their email list.
- Jamie Oliver – For those who have been following me for a while, you know Jamie is my inspiration (and perhaps reaching him has been my obsession). What can I say about this man who has children’s health at heart? He’s brilliant, quirky, down to earth and has absolutely awesome recipes. Follow Jamie on Facebook and on his Family Tube channel to get access to his awesome recipes.
- The Merrymaker Sisters – I love Emma and Carla Pappas of the Merrymaker Sisters, their enthusiasm for life is infectious. I swear, the movie has the ability to make even the hardened junk foodie realise that sugar is everywhere and they are addicted to it without even realising it. Buy the DVD, the book, and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
And just because it’s a time for giving, I want to also share these two inspirational quotographs photographed and designed by my one and only – Israel Smith. I hope these images and words provide you with inspiration for 2016.
