Can you feel it? Time speeding up as the festive season approaches. This week I have had to FORCE myself to make time for myself. I've capitalised FORCE because I can not believe how much of a good argument I can make for running myself ragged. Can you relate?
Notwithstanding this, I can hear my coach Lisa Carpenter in my ear, reminding me that it my responsibility to take care of myself.
So in this week's blog post, I'm gifting you these 2 lessons Lisa constantly reminds me of. Write these down and put them some where you can see and read them multiple times a day.
π©A tired mind is a A hole - meaning you can keep pushing and pushing but at some point your tiredness makes everything else seem so much bigger - and worse!
π΄Rest is your best success strategy. Even 5 minutes a day. Just for yourself. This will help make the rest of your day better. Do it for yourself. You wouldn't expect your kids to keep pushing through when they are exhausted.
Vegetable Tart Recipe
Ril is a real meat lover so I gauge the success of vegetarian recipes on his response. This one is a hands down winner.
We had this for dinner along with some sides of corn, garlic butter chunky carrots and steamed potatoes. (If I am truthful, we had to eat the sides for dinner first on this night because I forgot to turn on the oven to cook the tart - hence, me opening this newsletter with making time for rest).
Ril enjoyed it so much that he even had cold leftovers for breakfast.
